For the B'More Peoples

So people keep asking me to post B'more...

I'm rather fond of this up and coming (and very annoying to sober people) type of music. Baltimore House Music incorporates the very basics of house and dance music with just about any song sliced and diced...all tossed into an 8/4 structure.

Here are a few selections for the greater population

MLK - I Have A Bmore

The Count of Monte Cristal - B-more Forward

Not even close to Bmore, but a cool track anyway is
The Virgins - Rich Girls (Tyler Fedchuk's 1/2ALIVE Easy Disco Edit)

I'll put up a few more later. I need to dig a bit into the vault of 1,000,000 songs.

Mongolians and Blind Peeps

Wow, I blink and its already Saturday again!

Today started bright and early at 3 PM with a fun Two-way conversation with a really rad chic. By 5 PM it was breakfast time so I grabbed Terencio and headed down to B.G.'s Mongolian Bar-bee-que (Thats how we say it in the sticks). I got my fill X at least 100. Oddly, its interesting how many comments I get when I pile my bowl 9 inches above the rim with delicious food....

Remember, when visiting a Mongolian Barbeque, they charge you by the amount of bowls you have em grill. I save money by stacking 3 bowls into one. I know it looks funny when I depress the raw meat and veggies deep into the bowl, but I'm simply making more room. Geeee!

Owwww, almost forgot...

I started my workout routine today. 50 pushups, 50 situps, 50 minutes of running, and 5 minutes of stair running. I also decided I'm going to attempt the Boulder, Boulder, which might kill me. Seems like everyone else around me is doing the same, so why not do it big like the Cool Kids?

Speaking of Cool Kids..... Check out this track, its one of my favorites.

Cool Kids - I'm Mikey

Lastly, I saw a parade of 8 blind people walk into traffic downtown and almost cause a wreck. No one got hurt so it is classified as funny.

Coors Field

Wow, long night tonight. A bit of a cold flurry flew through Denver and kept people from coming out to get their drink on...errr...kept the normal people at home.

I saw a ton of really cool stuff due to weird drunk people, but thats part of the fun of life I suppose..

After things wound down Kenny "the crazy man" bouncer, Megan "the awesome" waitress and I got to yackin' with some balla that rolled over from Coors Field across the street. After talking for a bit, two really cool things then happened:

1. I got to see one of the NL Championship rings the Colorado Rockies recieved
2. The three of us got a VIP tour of Coors Field

Lots of pictures to post....its weird how quiet a huge baseball stadium is at 3 in the morning.

I'll leave you with a great song to celebrate baseball season...GO ROCKIES!

Managing the Kids

Electro-pop has developed quite a bit the last few years. Incorporating experimental elements and some learned from other genres its really a fun classification of music.

One group thats popularity has grown significantly over the past year is MGMT (The Management). The story goes like this.....two kids from the other side of the ocean end up at NYU, some other kids start pushin' the EP like crack in the ghetto, MGMT gets signed to Columbia and make more cool music.

Here's to the growth of Electro-pop!

MGMT - KIDS
MGMT - ELECTRIC FEEL

...and a Mashup for ya!
MGMT vs Daft Punk vs The Doors - "One More Time to Pretend"

Doin' It Big

I suppose we shall jump right to things. Lets kick it off with a good buddy of mine...

DJ Bert is an O.G./kool cat/ with some deep musical roots. I was fortunate enough to spend a few hours with Bert discussing the current state of mashups at Bootie Denver last night. He mentioned his mash of Webbie's Independent (I know you're already singin'.. I.N.D.E.P.E.N.D.E.N.T) vs Coldplay's Yellow (or Yeller depending on where yer frum). Apparently the mash is becoming a strong club banger with more than 5,000 downloads in the last week!

I can't wait for the next DJ Bert track...maybe he could do "Little Mellow Yellow" vs the Caramello (stretch it out out out) song from the 80s....or not..

Random Ramblin' Rockin' N' Rollin'

Hello,

So here I am, seemingly 5 years behind the hype of blogs, but just in time to save the world from weak music. Dangerous Dan Worldwide reporting for duty, here to bring you latest, greatest, and some throwback classics too!

Now might be a great time to slap a good ol' bookmark on this page, because you WILL want to come back again and again and maybe even a third time for jollies.....

Wait! What the heck is this blog all about anyway? Well, since I don't really have time to discuss political tensions in third world countries, I suppose I'll be posting some really dynamic, hard to find remixes....

Yata yata yata, I'm bored now. Check back tomorrow for coolness.
